In these changing times we are always looking for ways to improve our guest experience. Whether that’s here, at Market Cross or recommendations to enjoy in the local area. One that is high on everyone list at the moment, is where to eat and will there be availability? Many of our local restaurants will still have limited capacity for a while. So, when we find good local take away food, we feel we need to shout about it. We are more than happy for our guests to bring back their chosen takeaway. You can eat in either our lovely dining room (if available) or our newly refurbished garden and courtyard. We’ll even provide crockery and cutlery if you prefer not to eat out of the packet.
We are lucky to have Sunny Hills Farm Shop in the village. As well as evening meals they have now introduced a take away menu. We made the most of their takeout pizzas this weekend, lovely thin base and good quality toppings. We loved them. https://sunnyhillsfarmshop.co.uk/takeaway-menus/
Our local butcher R Carter & Sons in Bamburgh have always supplied us with fantastic meat. In 2019 they opened R Carter & Daughter Food Emporium next door with local cheese, homemade meals and take away salads. In the last few weeks they have added BAMBURGER, a take away burger menu on Friday & Saturday evening. You do need to pre-order but boy are they worth it. Really juicy double pattie burgers with a great choice of fillings.

Belfords fish & chip shop JD Fish & Chips serves 5 days a week now and has a good typical chip shop menu. We sample their wares on a “semi” regular basis and haven’t been disappointed.
Eating out at the moment isn’t an easy option so having takeout available here in the village and nearby gives some further flexibility for guests. Of course there is always the alternative of dining with us and you can find our menu on our Dining page.
