Art in Northumberland
Fenwick Gallery

Fenwick Art Gallery
In the lovely town of Warkworth with its imposing castle looking down on the high street is the Fenwick Gallery. Owned and run by Dorien and Nicole Fenwick (mother and daughter) there is something here to appeal every one. It may be the beautiful art work of landscapes and animals, lovely handmade jewellery or the often quirky ceramics. There is a wealth of variety and skill on display. The artwork in our Red Room is all from the Fenwick Gallery.
Mick Oxley Gallery

Mick Oxley Art Gallery
Micks work is some of the most emotive in this area. His use of not just colour but texture as well adds to the overall “feel” of his paintings. Additionally his paintings vary from seascapes with a tremendous feel of movement, to his landscapes and impressions of local landmarks. Also many are in darker shades almost giving the impression of an oncoming storm. We have loved his work since we first saw it and now own a large original. His work cannot be recommended enough.
Bamburgh Castle
If you are visiting Bamburgh Castle you should definitely go to the gallery they have on site. Open during the summer months, it showcases the art of Peter Phillips. His work shows the diverse landscape of Northumberland as well as some quirkier pieces. One of these is in our Green room and is the high street of Bamburgh. There will be something for everyone here.
